Mold Damage – South Daytona Home
Mold damage at this South Daytona home was discovered when it began emitting that musty odor of mold and mildew. The mold infestation was discovered in a closet that was small and had very little ventilation. There was some moisture accumulation which set up the ideal conditions for mold growth. SERVPRO of South Daytona / Port Orange was contracted to remediate the mold damage. After an assessment of the extent of the mold damage, our technicians would remove the baseboard to determine the depth of the mold growth. Once the assessment was completed our technicians would cut away a one-foot section of drywall so the area between the walls could be cleaned and treated with an antifungal spray. Commercial air dryers and dehumidifiers would be used to help dry the affected area. Finally, the drywall and baseboard would be replaced.
