South Daytona Clubhouse Mold Problems
The persistent smell led to a large mold infestation in the attic area of this South Daytona condo clubhouse. Upon inspection, our SERVPRO AMRT applied microbial restoration technicians advised a controlled demolition of the damp and mold infested ceiling sheetrock. We sealed the affected area with poly sheeting to limit the spreading of mold particles during the demo, dust, and mold spores looking for a place to cause more damage. The HEPA filtered air scrubber in the After Photo is just one of our advanced pieces of equipment to ensure a clean and secure restoration and remediation process. The exposed truss-work has to be sprayed with a fungicide to thwart new mold growth after the treatment. We explained the need to maintain lower humidity in the clubhouse to discourage spores from developing into a new problem.
